Vigor

I've realised the other day the importance of things we may take for granted at times. I'm professional painter that’s my job. Thats just one part of the equation. Like finely tuned machines it takes a lot cogs for everything to function properly, so I realised the importance of exercising the other parts of my creative nature and how that aids in the actuall painting process. Like reading for instance rather it's spiritual or in my specialized field or what I just find interesting at the particular moment. I also have a studio prayer that I say, because positive energy is just that, positive energy. Journaling is also a  part of the the process. It’s funny because I used to purchase a couple sketchbooks a year that I would dedicate soley the filling it with sketches, but in my typical fashion they would always turn into journals with sparatic drawings here and there. Which would get under my skin, but I would always have some great  food for thought  and those ideas about life would occasionally spill over into the visual arena. Also, just thinking, because our brains are problably our most important muscle. I have to remember that exercising our thoughts are vital.

W.o.W. ( Walk on Water )

What's happenin yall, a couple years ago I dared to enter the bloggo-sphere with  a vision. thats pretty much it, lol! nah though, I took a risk started somethin, I opened up and let a couple of friends  into my creative process, showing them how I looked at the world and viewed life. I'm an painter by trade, philospher on Tuesdays and Thurdays, well at least I think so, lol! :) I like listening great music, enjoy reading when I get the chance. I try to live the saying " iron sharpens iron", and pray often also. So this blog is what inspires me artistically, spritually, my concerns, and dreams.

With the title (I have to say I dont consider myself religous, I'll expand later, just spiritual.) I do draw inspiration from the story of Christ walking on the sea. That story in the past  helped me get through trying times and I still do rely upon for strength and courage to push foward towards my goals. It helps me realise nothings impossible with proper focus, drive and  determination, so again I'm asking yall to take a leap of faith with me and and dare to do the imposible, so lets all Walk on Water.

To those who follow me know my blog Burnt Umber  started as Walk on Water it morphed some what, so with this I'm going to continue what I started.
